1. Seat reservation
A seat reservation entitles you to a specific seat on the train.
As payment for the journey itself, a ticket must therefore be purchased either separately or in the same purchase as a seat reservation.
When purchasing a seat ticket for DSB 1', it is required to purchase DSB 1' supplement to have access to the DSB 1' compartment. It can be purchased together with the seat reservation or purchased separately as a card or other supplement.
We are currently running extended tests on free bicycle carriage in the regional train. Read more here: https://www.dsb.dk/aktuelt/test-af-gratis-medtagning-af-cykler/
1.1 Validity
A seat reservation is only valid on the selected day, the selected time and for specified carriage and seat. You must take your seat immediately after boarding the train, otherwise it may be assigned to someone else.
1.2 Availability of seat reservations
You have the option of buying a seat reservation when you travel with InterCity, InterCityLyn and Regional Trains. There may be regional trains where it is not possible to buy a seat reservation.
1.2.1 Special conditions on travel to Bornholm
It is possible to reserve space for bicycles, prams and wheelchairs to Bornholm. The seat ticket allows you to take a bicycle, pram and wheelchair on the Øresund train. In Pågatåg, it is free to bring a bicycle, pram and wheelchair, but it is not possible to reserve a place.
Seat reservations are not sold on Øresund trains or the Swedish Pågatåg trains from Malmö-Ystad. You can therefore not reserve space for bicycles, prams and wheelchairs in Øresund trains and Pågatåg. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be seating on all train departures.
1.3 Refund
A seat reservation can be refunded up to 30 minutes before departure time.
When you buy several tickets at once, you can only get them refunded together.
1.3.1 Special terms for those who have purchased their seat ticket at the same time as a ticket purchase
If you have purchased your seat reservation in the same purchase as the ticket itself, you can see in the terms of use and purchase of the individual ticket which rules apply:
- If you have purchased a single or a zone ticket
- If you have purchased an Orange or Orange Fri ticket
2. Commuter seat
2.1 Validity and terms
If you have a Commuter Card, Youth Card or Commuter 20, you can buy seat reservations at a lower price – also called a Commuter Seat.
You may purchase a Commuter Seat within the route and at the service level for which you have a valid card.
You must always show your valid Commuter Pass for the selected route together with your Commuter Pitch.
2.2 Availability of Commuter seats
There is a limited number of seats on each train, and you cannot choose where you want to sit. You can buy a maximum of 1 commuter seat per booking and a maximum of 2 tickets for the same day.
Commuter seats can only be purchased in the DSB App.
2.3 Refund
Commuter seats can be refunded up to 30 minutes before departure.
3. Bicycle ticket
When you bring your bike on an InterCity (IC), InterCityLyn (ICL), Lyn+, regional (RE) or GoCollective train, you must buy a Bicycle Ticket for your bike. The bicycle ticket covers both the ticket itself and the reservation of the space. It is not possible to reserve a place on GoCollective trains for your bike. You are allowed to bring your bike if there is available space on the individual departure.
A bicycle ticket is only valid on the selected day, the selected time and for the stated carriage and space. You must place your bike in the space immediately after boarding the train, otherwise it can be assigned to someone else.
3.1 Refund
The bicycle ticket can be refunded up to 30 minutes before the departure time. Bicycle tickets purchased in connection with travel to Bornholm can be refunded up to the day before the departure date.
Bicycle tickets valid across Øresund can be refunded up to the day before the departure date.
3.2 Special for bicycle tickets to GoCollective
Bicycle tickets for GoCollective trains are valid for five hours from the time of issue. The last boarding or transfer must be made before the expiry of the ticket's time validity.
4. Pram ticket
It is possible to reserve a pram seat ticket in DSB app and DSB netbutik. The tickets are free.
A Pram ticket is only valid on the selected day, the selected time and for the stated pram and space.
If you are prevented from travelling, the pram ticket must be canceled in DSB app or on DSB netbutik the day before the day of travel.
