Explore Denmark by train

- travelling across the country

With its extensive railway network, Denmark is ideally suited for exploring by train and DSB (the Danish national rail company) is ready to welcome you onboard. If you are planning to travel between cities or to different regions of Denmark, the train is the obvious choice. The train is a perfect way to observe the beautiful Danish countryside and during the journey, you can relax, read a book, take a nap or plan what you are going to see and explore when you arrive at your destination.

Standard tickets

We recommend the ‘Standard’ ticket as it is fully flexible and refundable. It is valid for a specific date, but not for a specific departure – so if you decide to go earlier or later on that day, that’s just fine.
You can add a seat reservation to you ticket - which of course is for a specific departure time.
Note that two children under the age of 12 travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Children between 12 and 16 pay half price.

DSB 1' - travel first class

With DSB 1' you get extra comfort: more personal space, coffee, tea, bottled water and snacks. This ticket is of course also fully flexible and refundable. Seat reservation is included.
