• A group is maximum 3 adults and 30 children
• Valid for busses, trains and the metro in zones 1-99 (Greater Copenhagen), 101-199 (Western Zealand) or 201-299 (Southern Zealand, Sydsjælland, Lolland, Falster and Møn) during school hours.
• Valid for one year.
• Buy at DOT.
• The first day of validity is 9 days ahead.
• The card is delivered by Post Nord, which can take up to five weekdays.
Choose between the zones 1-99, 101-199 or 201-299
With a School Class Card, a group of up to 3 adults and 30 schoolchildren can take busses, trains and the metro in zones 1-99 (Greater Copenhagen), 101-199 (Western Zealand) or 201-299 (Southern Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn) for one year.
A School Class Card covers one area. So if you need to travel in the zones 1-99 as well as 101-199, you will need two cards. .
The card is valid during school hours
The School Class Card is valid from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. You must get on the train at 3 pm at the latest.
However, the card is valid between 8-9 am and between 3-5 pm on busses and local trains outside zones 1-4, 30-33 and 40-44.
Various groups can take turns using the card
Various groups from the same school or after-school care facility can take turns using the card. A group can be up to three adults and 30 children or adolescents under the age of 18. At least one adult and one child have to travel at the same time.
Schools that need extra people to accompany the children can swap four children for one adult. No matter the age of the children. However, as a minimum, the same number of children as adults must travel at the same time.

You can order a School Class Card at DOT. If it is the first time your order, you must create the school as a business customer.

No, the card is valid for bus, train and metro travel in either zones 1-99, 101-199 or 201-299 for one year. For example, if you have cards for the zones 1-99 and zones 101-199, the cards are valid for all travel within the zones 1-199.

You must buy standard tickets if you travel with the children during periods when the School Class Card is not valid.
- A child under the age of 12 who travels alone pays child fare.
- Two children under the age of 12 travel for free when they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket
- Four children under the age of 12 can travel together on one adult ticket.
- A child under the age of 16 travels at half price and can bring one child under the age of 12 for free.
- Two children under the age of 16 can travel together on one adult ticket or credit.

No. The School Class Card is not valid on New Year’s Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Prayer Day, falling on the fourth Friday after Easter, Ascension Day and the 25th and 26th December.
Take the train when you are going on school camp
Pupils and teachers can take the train (and certain ferries) free of charge when they are going on the annual school camp.
