How do I buy a Rejsekort?
Becoming the owner of a Rejsekort is easy when you order it online. Children and adults can choose between a personal Rejsekort showing their name and possibly a photo, a flex card or a completely anonymous travel card.
The personal Rejsekort offers you the greatest bulk discounts, but it is inherently personal to you. Therefore it cannot be lent to others, unlike a Rejsekort Flex. You can learn more about the pros and cons of the different cards here.
How do I use my Rejsekort?
Start your journey by touching your Rejsekort against the Blue Point on the ‘check ind’ (check in) card readers. If you are bringing guests, dogs or bicycles with you, you must use the 'Extra' button in the corner.
Alternatively, you can also check in at the Rejsekort machines, whether you are travelling alone or need to check in more people.
If you transfer along the way, be sure to check in again.
Once you have reached your destination, check out by holding your Rejsekort against the Blue Point at the ‘check ud’ (check out) card readers. Then the merry 'ding' will sound, and the price of your trip and the balance on your card will be displayed. Keep an eye on the display. If your 'ding' sounds a little off, it may be because there is not enough money to start your next trip.
If you forget to check out in connection with your trip, you can do so via the Check Udvej app, if you have signed up for this service.
How do I top up my Rejsekort?
When you buy a Rejsekort, you deposit DKK 100 on the card. When you want to top up the Rejsekort from home, you can do so through self-service.
Top up in good time if you want to do it online. It may take up to five hours before information about your payment reaches the terminals at the stations – and up to a day on the buses.
You can also sign up for a top-up agreement through self-service. This ensures that your card will never run out of funds, because when your balance falls below DKK 50, a new amount will be automatically transferred from your payment card.
If topping up your Rejsekort is urgent, you can also use the Rejsekort machines at all DSB stations, metro stations, on the light railway in Aarhus and at a number of local railways. Amounts transferred via Rejsekort machines will be instantly available on the card.
If you want to top up your Rejsekort using cash, you will need to contact a manned ticket office.
Where can I check the balance on my Rejsekort?
With self-service, you can quickly and easily get an overview of your balance. You can also get a precise and detailed overview of your journeys. If you are en route, you can see your balance on either the Rejsekort machines or the check-out card readers.
Finally, there is Rejsekort’s 'Rejs Nemt' app, where you can also get an overview of your balance and spending.
