Can I bring my guide/service dog on international journeys?
Yes, you can, but you should be aware of the rules on ID, EU passport for animals and rabies vaccination. Most EU countries have similar rules.
However, special rules apply to journeys to the Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Finland, Ireland, Malta, Norway, United Kingdom and Sweden as well as journeys to Bornholm via Sweden. You can find answers to all your questions on the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration’s website.
If you are travelling outside the EU, you need to contact the embassy in the country you are travelling to in advance, since special entry requirements may apply. Alternatively, you can contact your veterinarian for further information.
