• Small pets in a carrier or cage travel free of charge.
• Large dogs need a child ticket and must be kept on a leash and stay on the floor for the entire journey.
• You can always bring your guide dog or service dog free of charge.
• Check in your large dog on your Rejsekort.
• Buy a child ticket for your large dog here, in the DSB's app or 7-Eleven at the station.
Small pets must be in a carrier or cage
You can bring small dogs and other small pets free of charge if, for the entire journey, they are kept in a carrier or cage with the maximum dimensions 100 x 60 x 30 cm. The carrier or cage must be placed under or above your seat, on your lap or other designated luggage areas. Pets are not allowed on the seats.
Space for your dog
If you want to make sure that there is space for your dog on the train, you can buy a space for it. If you travel on a train where the seats face each other, you must reserve the seat opposite your own.
Pets are welcome
Look for the pictograms showing where you may bring your pet. The stations and some trains have specific sections for pets.
You are not allowed to bring pets on DSB 1’ and in the Quiet Zone, nor guide/service dogs.
Check in your dog on your Rejsekort
You can check in your large dog on your Rejsekort at the Rejsekort machines or at the extra card reader at the station.
If you often bring your dog when you travel, you can benefit from buying it a Rejsekort Flex. That way you do not have to check in your dog on your own card every time.
