Terms and conditions for DSB Plus points
Version 6. Valid from 23/10 2024.
You earn points when purchasing tickets and commuter cards on DSB.dk and in the DSB's app
You can earn points on purchases made on dsb.dk and in the DSB's app. To do so, you must be 12 years and need to have a DSB Plus profile and consent to receive newsletters and special offers. You must also accept the following terms and conditions for DSB Plus points.
Ways to earn points
You receive 49 points upon accepting these terms and conditions for DSB Plus points. Welcome points are awarded once per individual.
You earn points when purchasing tickets and commuter cards on DSB.dk and in the DSB's app. You receive 1 point per DKK 10 in purchases from DSB. When you use Check-in, you earn points if you travel with DSB. You also earn points if you travel with DSB in combination with, for example, bus, metro, or another train operator. You earn points based on the total price of the journey. You do not earn points if you only travel with bus, metro, or another train operator than DSB.
Points are not awarded for certain purchases. This includes business purchases paid for by invoice or credit card, group tickets donations and tickets for Interrail and international trips. However, points are awarded for purchasing Øresund commuter cards and tickets to Bornholm via Sweden.
Points are not awarded for tickets ordered via dsb.dk for pickup and payment at a station or a ticket vending machine.
How to earn points
To earn points, make sure you are logged in with your DSB Plus profile before completing your purchase. You are responsible for ensuring that you are logged in before making your purchase. If you make a purchase without logging in, we cannot award the points for that purchase retroactively.
Once your purchase has been completed, you will be able to see your points as pending on your points balance. You can only spend your points from the day following your journey or when your commuter card, including Pendler20, has expired.
You have the opportunity to earn extra points in connection with promotional campaigns and the like. The terms and conditions for earning extra points will be specified in the promotional campaigns.
Only full points are awarded, and points are rounded up or down according to standard rounding rules. If you purchase several tickets in a single purchase, your points will be calculated on the basis of the price per ticket and not the total purchase amount.
During downtimes on dsb.dk or the DSB app - e.g. due to technical issues - points are not awarded for purchases of tickets or commuter cards that you had to purchase via other sales channels.
How to spend your points
Points are registered in your points balance and can be used on certain products in DSB 7-Eleven, which is located at DSB’s stations. To spend your points, you need to log in to your DSB Plus profile. In your DSB Plus profile, you can view all the products you can currently spend your points on. You start by purchasing a voucher for the desired product with your points. The voucher is saved in your DSB Plus profile and can subsequently be accessed via your DSB Plus profile in the DSB app or on dsb.dk. The voucher can be used as a valid form of payment at DSB 7-Eleven. The staff at DSB 7-Eleven will need to scan the barcode on the voucher used for payment. Please note that points can only be used in the DSB app from October 22, 2025.
Vouchers purchased with points are non-refundable, cannot be combined with other deals or loyalty cards and cannot be exchanged for other products or cash. The voucher’s expiry date is indicated on the voucher. If the voucher is not used prior to its expiry date, the voucher will become invalid and the points will be forfeited. Eligible products that vouchers can be used for are subject to availability at DSB 7-Eleven locations.
DSB 7-Eleven convenience stores are located at many of DSB’s stations across the country. You can see which stations have a DSB 7-Eleven here. You cannot spend your points at the 7-Eleven in Vallensbæk Station nor in the 7-Eleven coffee express on the train.
Points cannot be exchanged for cash.
Refunding points
Refunding a ticket purchase that you earned points for is subject to the standard terms and conditions for refunds. You can find the terms and conditions for refunds here . If a ticket is refunded before points have been released for spending, your pending points will be withdrawn. In exceptional cases where a ticket is refunded after the journey took place/should have taken place, the released points will be withdrawn, and your points balance may therefore be negative if you have spent those points. If a commuter card or ticket is partially refunded, you will receive points corresponding to the portion of your purchase that was not refunded.
Expiry of points
Your points expire two years from the end of the quarter that they were awarded to your points balance. We will help you remember to spend your points before they expire.
Unsubscribing
If you withdraw your consent to receive newsletters and special offers by e-mail and text messages, or withdraw your acceptance of the terms and conditions for DSB Plus points, your points will no longer be spendable. We will save your points on your profile until they expire. To spend your points, you will need to renew your consent to receiving newsletters by e-mail or text messages and/or your acceptance of the terms and conditions for DSB Plus points. If you have purchased a voucher which you have not used prior to withdrawing your consent/acceptance, you will still be able to use the voucher until the expiry date indicated on the voucher. We will send the voucher to you by e-mail.
If you close your DSB Plus profile, you will lose your points. If you have purchased a voucher which you have not used prior to withdrawing your consent/acceptance, you will still be able to use the voucher until the expiry date indicated on the voucher. We will send the voucher to you by e-mail.
Tax information
Points earned in connection with trips paid for by an employer are taxable for the employee if they spend them on personal consumption. The employee must be taxed on the value of what they would have paid for the product without a voucher. The employee is responsible for reporting this information to Skat.
Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions, including the terms and conditions for earning and spending points. You will be notified by e-mail in the event of significant amendments.
Misuse
If DSB becomes aware that you are obtaining points in a manner that is contrary to these terms and conditions, DSB reserves the right to annul your points as well as permanently exclude you from being able to earn points. Further, DSB reserves the right to close your DSB Plus profile.
Examples of misuse include cheating with points, registration with temporary email service e.g. 10 Minute mail, or the same user obtaining points through setting up multiple DSB Plus profiles.
