DSB’s Board of Directors has appointed a new Chief Executive officer and a new Chief Financial Officer. The two will also be forming DSB's Executive Board.
New CEO is the 43 year old Christian Roslev, who leaves a job as Chief Executive Officer at Nordjyllands Trafikselskab. Christian Roslev graduated from Aarhus University with a social science degree (MSc) in 1993 and he has previously held a number of management positions in the Government administration, municipalities and major companies, including the Ministry of Finance, Copenhagen Municipality and the companies KMD and COWI. Today, he is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Travel Card and TravelPlanner and Chairman of the X Bus cooperation in Jutland.
The new Chief Financial Officer is the 45 year old Jacob Kjær, who until recently was CFO in TDC Business Nordic. Previously he has been CFO of the Polish mobile telephone company Polkomtel, which was partly owned by TDC.
Together, Christian Roslev and Jacob Kjær will form DSB's new executive management, which in time may be enlarged with more people, explains Peter Schütze, Chairman of DSB's Board of Directors.
”With a new CEO and a new CFO, DSB sets a new team to lead the country's biggest transport company. We have appointed two persons who will contribute with experience in transport, business and public service companies. Together with the general management and DSB's employees, the new executive management will create a even stronger DSB, which will create new good results", says Peter Schütze
Christian Roslev looks forward to leading DSB and he proudly and humbly accepts the task of being CEO of a company with more than 9,000 employees, half a million daily customers and more than 2,500 daily train departures.
"DSB has a significant and very vital societal task as the absolute biggest transport company in Denmark. I look forward to contributing to develop the company and getting more Danes to take the train. And then we have to strengthen the pride among DSB's employees, who every day do a great job providing trains on time and good service to our customers", says Christian Roslev.
Jacob Kjær also looks forward to becoming part of DSB's Executive Board and he recognises that DSB is in a difficult financial situation with a deficit in the latest accounts. Therefore, he has particular focus on a stronger financial overview in DSB.
"It is a precondition for being able to invest in the future that we can manage our costs and the economy as a whole. I look forward to contributing to the work and to strengthen DSB as a company", says Jacob Kjær.
Christian Roslev joins DSB on 1 August and takes over the position as CEO on 12 August, when DSB's acting CEO Klaus Pedersen leaves DSB to take on a new job as CFO and member of the Executive Board at Chr. Hansen A/S. Jacob Kjær joins DSB as CFO and member of the Executive Board on 8 August.
