  • Traveling by ticket, clipboard or travel card.

  • Traveling by long distance, regional or S-train in Denmark

  • And have been delayed more than 30 minutes at your destination

Advantages:

  • You can choose whether you want a ticket for a new trip on the same route or have your money transferred back to your account.

Limitations:

  • If a special schedule is made it is by these times we calculate the compensation

  • You cannot apply if you are enrolled in DSB Commuter Travel Time Warranty

When your GoCollectivel time is delayed more than 30 minutes

You can apply for compensation if you:

  • Are delayed more than 30 minutes at your long distance, regional or S-train (DSB or DSB in combination with GoCollective, Nordjyske Jernbaner or Skånetrafikken) journey in Denmark

  • Have traveled by ticket, clipboard or travel card

It is the time of GoCollectivel at your destination (the last station you arrive at) and not the time of departure that determines how delayed you are.

You can also get a travel time guarantee if you travel with DSB and a private railway / metro - but other rules apply. Apply for Travel Time Guarantee the same way as if you are traveling with DSB.

If delays exceed 30 minutes with other means of transport, e.g. bus before or after the train and the train is less than 30 minutes delayed you cannot receive compensation.

For example; you travel from Copenhagen Central Station to Præstø and take the train from Copenhagen to Næstved and then go by bus from Næstved to Præstø. The train is delayed 15 minutes on GoCollectivel in Næstved and the bus has left for Præstø. Then you cannot receive compensation.

Apply for Basic Travel Time Guarantee

You should apply for the Basic Travel Time Warranty as soon as possible after your delayed journey and submit the travel documentation (i.e. ticket or card in copy or original) along with the application. The right to receive compensation becomes obsolete after 3 years.

Your compensation depends on how late you were

The amount of your compensation depends on how delayed you were on your journey.

If you are entitled to compensation, you can choose either:

  • Getting your compensation as a new ticket.
This ticket is issued for the same route as you were delayed. The Travel Time Guarantee ticket can only be issued to stations at DSB, GoCollective or Skånetrafikken. The ticket is valid for travel by train, bus and metro in the zones indicated on the ticket. A Travel Time Guarantee ticket is valid for 6 months after the ticket is issued. If you choose to get a new ticket we do not compensate for the Seating Ticket.

  • Getting money transferred back to your account. The amount is calculated based on how delayed you were.
